CSP is a green form of clean energy. The whole life cycle is environmentally friendly, the energy storage cost is low, the technology is mature, the power output is stable and controllable, and it has peak-shaving capability and can be used as a basic power source.

The commercialization of CSP started in Europe and the United States in the 1980s. Since the beginning of the new century, emerging markets including China have been vigorously promoted.By the end of 2018, the world's total installed capacity was 6,069 MW, and in 2018, 936 MW was added globally, of which 215 MW was added in China.According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), the installed capacity of CSP in the world will reach 830GW by 2050.

The heat storage & exchange system is the core system of CSP, including the heat absorber, the energy storage tank, the preheater, the steam generator, the superheater, etc. It is the core system of energy absorption, storage and output of the photothermal power station. It determines the role of the CSP with the basic power capability.

Molten salt storage & heat exchange system, especially in Tower CSP, has high design parameters, large temperature difference, thermal stress and thermal shock have great influence on equipment.
