The new facility is a joint venture between AL-BABTAIN and METALOGALVA S.A as a leading company in the design & manufacturing of PV steel structural components. It is the perfect integration between two key players with more than 50 years of experiences in the design, manufacturing of Steel structures.

This year, Al-Babtain has signed a contract with Europea de Construcciones Metalicas S.A, Spain to supply CSP Solar Structures for 950-megawatt (MW) Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park Project – Phase IV, Dubai. Also, Al-Babtain has been awarded to manufacture & supply steel single-axis tracker components for 300 MW of Solar PV in Sakaka, Saudi Arabia in collaboration with NEXTracker USA.  It is the First NREP Solar Project in Saudi Arabia. Earlier, Al-Babtain manufactured & supplied CSP steel support structure components for 50MW Shagaya Kuwait & ISCC Duba 43 MW in Saudi Arabia. 

The components have been manufacturing from its new state-of-the-art production facility at 3rd Industrial City, Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Al-Babtain are fabricating the components with very high tolerances  fabrication, skilled welding and Galvanizing of all the Steel structure support components such as Torque box, Cantilever Pylons, which includes thin profiles of cantilever as well. 

Steel structure fabrication and galvanizing plays a very crucial role in the project execution & budget control for solar projects in the MENA region.
