Chinese EPC consortium of Greece MINOS 50MW CSP Project look for partners and vendors
2019.11.20 From: CSP Focus
As CSP Focus reported earlier last week, the financing cooperation agreement for Greek MINOS 50MW CSP (Concentrated Solar Power) project was signed under the joint witness of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis. Meanwhile, the consortium of Energy China CGGC International and Supcon Solar signed the EPC contract with NUR-MINOS Heliothermal of MINOS CSP project.
Consortium formed by China Gezhouba Group
International Engineering Co., Ltd (shorted as CGGC), Energy China Group and Zhejiang Supcon Solar Technology
Co., Ltd. (shorted as Supcon Solar) will be awarded as EPC contractor, Greek local company
PRENECON S.A. will be responsible for the project construction, and China
provide financing support for the project.
MINOS will be located in the southeast of Crete, Greece and will be the first CSP project in the country. The cooperation in the development and construction of this CSP project is regarded as a great sample for the cooperation between China and Europe under the “BRI (Belt and Road Initiative)”.
industry source told CSP Focus, the EPC consortium consisting of two Chinese companies, CGGC of Energy China and Supcon Solar, will be fully responsible for the technology, engineering, procurement and construction. Supcon Solar's molten salt tower CSP technology and engineering experience will be applied in MINOS CSP project.
*Project site visit is under schedule of CSP Focus China 2020 March
(click to view the company page), as a Chinese leading CSP tower
project developer, EPC and technology provider, owned and developed
China first 10MW CSP project and the well-known 50MW SUPCON Delingha
Molten Salt Tower CSP Project. Apart from that,
Supcon Solar is also the solar field EPC contractor of Power China Gonghe 50MW Tower CSP Project which was completed this September.
The project will take tower CSP technology with an installed capacity of 50MW and a 5-hour molten salt heat storage system, and is expected to be executed based on the technology and project development & construction experience of Supcon Solar. If you would like to get learned of Supcon Solar technology and CSP project experience, just
Together with China, Supcon Solar is also positive and active in global CSP markets and quite open to seek for cooperation with overseas partners in CSP project development, EPC, equipment & material purchasing etc.
The other EPC contractor CGGC, as a pioneer and leading company in implementing the BRI, puts tons of endeavor to promote high quality and greener growth and support Chinese renewable industry's going-out. Since its establishment in mid of 2018, CGGC Intl. has signed around 3GW Contracts, and Sudair 1000MW solar PV in Saudia and MINOS 50MW CSP in Greece are the typical ones.
CGGC attaches great importance on its first CSP project of MINOS and would like to receive support from world-wide experienced vendors for the detailed project EPC work in evaluation and procurement of perfect materials, components and services.
If you would like to get in touch with CGGC and Supcon Solar on MINOS CSP project or other CSP issues, you are much welcome to join the upcoming CSP Focus China 2020 conference & expo on Mar.25-26 Beijing, where both of the corporate top executives will be present and you may get opportunity to pay visit to Supcon Delingha 50MW Tower CSP Project on site in Qinghai Province.
