Opinion - Features, Bottlenecks and Policy Recommendations for the Development of China's CSP Industry

Abstract: CSP is a renewable energy generation method that combines the characteristics of solar thermal conversion power generation, large-scale heat storage and grid synchronization machine, all in one. China's CSP industry chain has been initially established under the promotion of the first demonstration projects, and while meeting domestic demand, CSP products have started to go to the international market. However, the domestic CSP industry is still facing problems such as limited market scale, technical equipment level to be improved, high cost, and lack of effective policy succession. CSP urgently needs stable policies to guarantee the continuous and steady development of the industry in order to drive down the cost. It is recommended to support it from the aspects of price policy, financial support for science and technology innovation, and multi-energy complementary integration construction.
