Project Overview |
As one of the first batch of 20 pilot CSP projects, CSNP Royal Tech Urat 100MW Parabolic Trough CSP Project is the largest trough plant within the pilot projects, in terms of installed capacity.
Located in Hailiutu Town, Urat Zhongqi,Bayannur City, Inner Mongolia, with the total investment of around RMB2.9 billion, the project takes an area of 5,000,000 m², equipped with 375 PT loops and 10 hours' TES system.

One step closer towards Australia’s first commercial scale concentrated solar power plant
On behalf of the Australian Government, the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) has announced it has approved $65 million in funding to Vast Solar to construct VS1, a first-of-a-kind 30 MW / 288 MWh concentrated solar power (CSP) plant in Port Augusta, South Australia.ARENA’s funding for VS1 is conditional upon the project reaching financial close, which is targeted to occur in late 2023.
