Sunrise CSP develops, supplies and supports world leading Concentrated Solar Thermal technology for the development of cost-competitive electricity generation and industrial process heat systems. Our core technology is the Big Dish solar concentrator. The Big Dish produces super-heated steam and can be deployed in stand-alone or grid-integrated solar power projects, with or without storage, or hybridized with gas, oil, coal or biomass to deliver cost-competitive dispatchable power generation systems. Sunrisep CSP is developing projects in Brazil, China and India.  For example, the Big Dish concentrator will provide the Kailash Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, India’s top-rated cancer radiotherapy hospital, with a cogeneration solution providing 1MW of electricity and super-heated process steam for sterilization, space conditioning and steam cooking. This will be the first Big Dish project in India.

The Big Dish Solar Concentrator

The Big Dish is a large paraboloid dish solar concentrator, with ~520m2 reflective surface area, that delivers 400kW of thermal energy for application to electricity generation and process heat solutions.  Dishes can be networked together to deliver highly scalable solutions from the village scale to national utility scale.  Today the Big Dish delivers super-heated steam at temperatures between 150oC to 600oC at pressures up to 160 bar.  The technical performance, manufacturing, operation and maintenance advantages of the dish ensure its superior commercial performance in today's and future CST markets. 

Scheffler Concentrator

Scheffler dish is used for the low-medium process heat applications. This dish can attain the temperature up to 150-200°C as per the specific requirements in industries, commercial & residential complexes, religious places, etc. A typical 16 m2 Scheffler Dish has thermal capacity equivalent to 30,000 Kcal/ day to 35,000 Kcal/day depending on the manufacturing precision and DNI on a clear sunny day.

Super-Heated Steam Receiver

The world’s highest efficiency super-heated steam receiver with a solar to thermal conversion efficiency of ~97%.  This receiver is capable of delivering steam from 150oC to 600oC at pressures up to 160 bar, to enable high-efficiency thermal solutions ranging from space-conditioning and water purification to utility-scale power generation.

Solar Mirror Panels

A high performance laminated Solar Mirror Panel (SMP) designed for a minimum 30-year life.  SMP's have >94% reflectivity with less than 1 milli-radian of slope error.  The curvature of SMP's can be adapted, using Sunrise CSP's patented process, for use on all CSP systems – dish, trough and heliostat.
