In the evening of On December 26th,  the steam turbine was rolled up successfully for the first time of China Supcon Delingha 50MW Molten Salt Tower Project with rated speed of 7676 rpm. As the project owner and developer Supcon Solar tells CSP Focus, the plant will be soon connected to the local grid in days. 

Amongst China 1st batch of CSP demonstrations, SUPCON Solar Delingha 50MW CSP plant takes molten salt central tower technology with 7 hours' thermal electricity storage system. A total number of 27,135 heliostats (20 square meter) will be installed for the project.

July 2013, SUPCON built 10MW tower CSP project in Delingha, which is the first commercial CSP tower project in China and the third in the world. Molten salt renovation was finished on Aug. 2016. Over 95% core equipment was make in China, which broke the monopoly of overseas molten salt CSP tower project core technology and it was a great milestone of CSP technology localization.
